This seminar will highlight that which makes New Jersey a unique environment to own and manage rental housing and will provide tips on how to operate in today’s economy.  Topics include: delinquency management, early lease termination, roommate issues, “additional rent” charges, security deposit issues, rent control (capital improvement and vacancy decontrol) and the rights of occupants.  The attorneys of Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker will cover the legal topics that every apartment industry professional should know and will answer your questions.

Tracey Goldstein
, a partner at the law firm of Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, L.L.C., represents owners, developers and managers of multi-family housing in real estate related litigation. Ms. Goldstein has lectured extensively on landlord tenant issues and has written numerous articles for trade publications. She has participated in landmark New Jersey Court decisions affecting the rights of owners.



 


Gary Gordon is a Partner at Feinstein, Raiss, Kelin & Booker, LLC and Chairman of the Firm’s Litigation Department.  Mr. Gordon possesses extensive experience in commercial, contract and real estate litigation; real estate tax appeals; municipal law; family law matters; housing code enforcement; rent control matters (including capital improvement and hardship applications); housing discrimination and personal injury cases. Throughout his career, Mr. Gordon has participated successfully in numerous cases having a state-wide impact.  In addition to the substantial body of judicial reported opinions in which Mr. Gordon has been involved, he has authored an article for the Seton Hall Law Review on the Rooming and Boarding House Act. Mr. Gordon is a graduate of Rutgers College (B.A.1973) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D.1976).  He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and its Family Law Section, as well as, the New Jersey Apartment Association.
